A Teachers’ Conference was organized by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) with the aim of empowering educators and creating awareness about the significant role of Company Secretaries in the economic growth of the nation. The programme was sponsored by AU Small Finance Bank.
The programme commenced with the traditional tilak ceremony, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Saraswati Vandana, seeking blessings for knowledge, wisdom, and success. After this, the distinguished guests were warmly welcomed with flowers.
The programme was graced by Former Union Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank ,Wing Commander Anupama Joshi, MLA Shri Brij Bhushan Gairola, Management Committee Member Shri Hari Om Bhandari, and Councillor Ms. Swati Dobal. Their presence added great value and significance to the conference.
This was followed by a beautiful Saraswati Dance performance, which added a cultural and graceful touch to the programme.
A key session of the conference was conducted by ICSI Chairperson Ms. Ruchira, who highlighted the crucial role of Company Secretaries in the economic growth and development of the country. Through an informative video presentation as well as her interaction with the teachers, she explained the importance of the CS profession and the opportunities it offers to students.
She also explained the journey of a student towards becoming a Company Secretary, including the three stages of the CS course—CSEET, Executive Programme, and Professional Programme. The session helped educators understand the pathway, progression, and professional journey of students aspiring to pursue a career as a Company Secretary. The importance of pre-membership and CS membership was also discussed, giving teachers a broader understanding of the professional journey.
The conference further included an insightful interaction with Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, who shared valuable thoughts on the role of teachers in shaping the future of the nation. He emphasized that education is not limited to academic learning; teachers also play an important role in developing students’ behaviour, values, discipline, and overall personality. He also discussed the vision and importance of NEP 2020 and shared experiences from his journey, motivating educators to contribute meaningfully towards the development of future generations.
The conference provided an opportunity for participants to listen to the experiences and perspectives of various dignitaries and educators. The discussions emphasized the importance of continuous learning, skill development, value-based education, and preparing students to face the changing demands of the future.
Towards the conclusion of the programme, the participating teachers were felicitated with mementos and certificates in recognition of their participation. The event concluded on a vibrant note with a captivating Garhwali folk dance performance, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Uttarakhand.
The programme concluded with lunch and provided a memorable and enriching experience for all the participating teachers. Overall, the ICSI Teachers’ Conference was an insightful and motivating initiative that strengthened educators’ understanding of career opportunities in the CS profession while highlighting the vital role of teachers in shaping responsible, skilled, and future-ready citizens.
